Let me dust the cobwebs from my blog….It has been TOO long since I’ve updated my blog…but nonetheless I’m on Tumblr everyday looking at pictures and new techniques that I want to try…
- Botanical Gardens, Norfolk, VA.
- Ghent—Norfolk, VA:::I tried one day but felt really uninspired, try again soon::::
I’ve been here twice, once with my P&S and once with my DSLR…yes I got a DSLR, I’ll divulge more on how that came to be in another post….
I LOVE taking pictures of animals and landscapes— Especially fall. Although I don’t have any other season to compare as I didn’t really start to get into photography of this level until the end of August. But I’ve gotten some rich fall colors with the leaves changing in VA.
This was HUGE success. I took pictures of a girlfriends shoes and jewelry…think Audrey Hepburn meets Lia Sophia. Much without her knowing I was planning on editing and blowing up the pictures for her to hang on her bare walls…She loved them and I was SUPER proud of them!
Although, not the most fun I’ve had taking pictures. It really made me focus on composition and lighting aspects. I couldn’t just pointandshoot andpointandshootandpointandshoot….you get the picture. This was also my first time using a “backdrop.” Really, it was just thick black fabric from Wal-Mart…but it really worked…
- Musically themed photos
- Historical sites in Hampton Roads
- Williamsburg, VA
I’m hoping to do this tomorrow…We’ll see if I really have the time to devote to this….
- Sunrise at the beach
- Wild Horses in OBX
- The Tide
The sun really sucks today, maybe I’ll do this and play with the editor
- Do a couples shot at Town Center in VB
- ECU-the whole campus!
- Waterside in Norfolk
- Cemetery in front of the Norfolk Zoo
- All of the Norfolk Mermaids, Virginia Beach Horses…
So this is where my bucket list is at. Mind you, I took some pictures of mounted planes at Naval Station Norfolk 2 weeks ago. They turned out awesome. The hubs and I are heading to my Gram’s for Thanksgiving so I’ve got some ideas of what I want to take pictures of. By no means am i limiting myself to ONLY this list, but using it as a helpful guide when I feel really unimaginative.
